As with all interrupt-driven operations, you can exceed the ability of your
system to handle the interrupt traffic if you increase your analog input
sampling rate or analog output update rate beyond your system’s capability.
To determine the limits of your system, start at lower rates and gradually
increase them until your computer operations begin to slow down.
DAQPad-1200 Printer Connection
The DAQPad-1200 is equipped with a pass-through parallel port to connect
to a printer. To print with this configuration, the DAQPad-1200 must be in
an idle state. The DAQPad-1200 is idle when it is not generating any
interrupts. In other words, do not try to print while running an
asynchronous analog I/O or digital I/O operation.
1200 Device Calibration
All 1200 devices are shipped with factory-calibration coefficients stored in
an EEPROM. If you want to recalibrate either coefficient, use the
Calibrate_1200 NI-DAQ function or the 1200_Calibrate.vi.
Note
Calling Calibrate_1200 on an SCXI-1200 with remote SCXI can take
an extremely long time. We strongly recommend that you switch your SCXI-1200 to use
a parallel port connection before performing the calibration and store the calibration
constants in one of the EEPROM storage locations.
